Hey everyone how are you?
Last last week I posted about my new health kick and the open food diary I am keeping with my best friend Lucy. The idea behind it seemed pretty popular with quite a few of you. In fact whenever I post something about body image, weight or diets I am always overwhelmed by the amount of support and agreement that I receive from the blogging community.
When it comes to health and body image I think having an open conversation is so important. It is ok to say that you don’t feel ok, but if you don’t tell anyone those feelings can fester away and can set off a pattern of self destruction. I know, I’ve been there.
After last weeks post and the response it received a couple of cogs started turning in my brain and an idea started to form, and well I am just going to put it out there…
I’d like to create a bloggers food diary here on my little spot of the internet.
Every Wednesday I’d like to invite another blogger to guest post here and tell us about their relationship to food, their body and their self confidence. This could be anything from a post about when they feel most comfortable or confident to their favourite recipe or what dinner time means to them.
I want to create a space where people can come along, post or read, and think ‘I’ve been there’ or ‘I will try that’ or, and perhaps most importantly of all, ‘thank god, I’m not alone.’
I will be inviting some of my favourite bloggers to post but I would love to hear from anyone else who wants to get involved! You don’t even have to have your own blog if you just have something to say then I’m all ears!
Of course, I will read everything that is sent to me first and I won’t post anything that I feel promotes an unhealthy lifestyle or mindset, but I doubt that will really be an issue!
